FDA Disclaimer
Elecampane is a veritable medicine chest of a plant, but it is perhaps most famous for its ability to strengthen and support the respiratory system. Elecampane can reach deep into the lungs and gets things moving again by clearing and releasing old infected mucus.
KEY BENEFITS
rich in phytochemicals helenalin, helenin and most importantly inulin, which coats and soothes the bronchial passages and acts as an expectorant helping to reduce bronchial secretions and cleanse the lungs of congestion
soothes irritation and inflammation that results from coughing, while also acting as a cough suppressant
acts as an anesthetic for the chest pain of persistent coughing and to soothe the throat tickle that instigates the cough
the sesquiterpene lactones present in Elecampane have a natural antibiotic effect that may be useful in resolving bacterial infection, changing thick, green, infected mucus to white or clear mucus.
ADDED BONUS:
digestive health benefits
About 45% of Elecampane root is the prebiotic compound inulin. Prebiotics feed probiotics, including the colonies of beneficial Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus bacteria which help to stave off infections, prevent inflammation and encourage healthy bowels. The bitter properties of the root also stimulate overall digestive function and help increase the flow of bile from the liver to the small intestine.
Suggested Use:
1 dropperful on tongue or 1 dropperful in 1 oz warm water 2-5 times daily for respiratory system support.
1 dropperful = 15-20 drops ELECAMPANE, 60% Non-GMO Grain Alcohol, 40% Distilled Water.
